Took me long enough

I didn't mean to take months to write, but things have been different since Kylee died. Childhood cancer sucks. I've had to explain to my 3 year old that his 4 year best-cousin-friend won't be at her house anymore...but instead she's with Jesus. My thoughts on life have changed tremendously. I want to do more to help raise awareness. I want to do more for the people around me. I want to make people smile and laugh, because who knows what tomorrow holds. I'm starting a project. A sort of pay it forward...for Kylee. I will be posting soon with details :)

(This is Kylee & I just 3 days before she passed of neuroblastoma)
Miss you forever.

Wallflowers

Finally, after fifteen years of waiting, I got to see The Wallflowers! Of course my focus was on Jakob Dylan. Yum!

Visiting Kylee

Our little cousin, Kylee, is in the hospital. We've just learned that her cancer has relapsed. Cancer Sucks!! :(

Paint with water!

I had to share this yardsale find. I scored 4 brand new 1980's paint with water books, for $.25! These things were my favorite when I was little and now my little fella loves them too. Plus, they are clean & paint doesn't get on everything! Yay!

Had to share...

I painted this "dresser" today & totally fell in love. So I decided it would look perfect in my kitchen. I'm searching for some lovely little drawer pulls...but I can't quit looking at it :)

Finally...

I've been following blogs forever & I've finally taken the plunge & started my own. I am obsessed with all things thrifty, painting everything, and my three year old son. I love love love reading/looking at other blogs & seeing all of the delightful thrift finds that folks share. So I hope you enjoy all of the things I plan to share with you. Stay tuned, as I'm just learning, but my head is spinning with tons of goodness that I'd like to blog about. :)
